Story: Hong Kong martial arts/gangster movie. Tangsan (Donnie Yen) is a doctor living in the poverty stricken area of Shanghai. All the poor people come to him for help because of his kindness. But then the Axe Gang arrives on the scene, and they're planning to destroy the town so they can build their own casino. Tangsan naturally gets involved, and starts an ongoing rivalry with the gang. But when he meets the gangleader's sister (Athene Chu) one day, and they begin to have feelings for one another, matters get even more difficult for the doctor...
